Reflections on 36—A collaborative installation by artist Debbie Apple-Presser

Location: Hartzmark Center

Dates: February 24-May 15, 2017

Cleveland artist Debbie Apple-Presser was commissioned to create a collaborative art installation with the congregation for this exhibit. In her art she explains, “I find very common objects that can be turned into something beautiful. I am hooked on the challenge of taking one thing, looking at it for its color, material and pattern, and using it to create something different. I like people to stop, look and think. Maybe they’ll say, ‘Wait a minute, what is that?’” While working on Reflections on 36 she expressed, “The idea of the Lamed Vav speaks to me, anyone can be someone magnificent!” During the exhibit, students and affiliate groups from The Temple made part of the collaborative art together.
