Do you want to be a babysitter?

Join us as we host the American Red Cross babysitting course which will not only include child care training but also lessons on responsibility and community from the Jewish perspective.

The American Red Cross is the nation’s leader in babysitting classes and child care training – and will prepare you to become one of the most capable, trusted and in-demand sitters in your neighborhood. In fact, 8 in 10 surveyed parents said they would pay more for a trained babysitter who holds Red Cross babysitting certifications.

Just a few of the things the babysitting course covers include:

  • Basic Care for Infants and Children
  • Basic First Aid
  • Child Behavior
  • Age-Appropriate Activities
  • Emergency Protocols
  • Professionalism
  • Leadership
  • Growing Your Babysitting Business

The course will also offer First Aid and CPR/AED certification. Successful completion gives you a two-year certification and access to refresher materials – so you can keep your skills sharp between certifications.

Those who complete the course will be added to our Temple Babysitters List that will be given to Temple congregants with young children.
