On Sunday November 10th 2013 we commemorated the 75th anniversary of Kristalnacht. This marked the beginning of the end for the Jews of Germany. We had a guest speaker, Harry Koppel who was 11 years old in 1938. He spoke to the sixth grade and told them how he remembered his father, who was a physician, was taken away and all the broken glass in the streets. He also told us how his father came back and how they got out of Germany. The students were were extremely attentive and asked some great questions.
The students also made four great wall hangings, shown below, reflecting the event.
